FREEPORT — Freeport Theater of Awesome will present “The Early Evening Show” a late-night talk-show spoof, which is a cross between “Saturday Night Live” and classic Johnny Carson on April 19, 20, 26 and 27, at 7:30 p.m.

The show originally debuted at the Oddfellow Theater in Buckfield in May 1998 and sold out every show for several years after that.

“We plan on running the show almost every month in Freeport,” said Jason Tardy, co-host of the show and co-founder of the Freeport Theater of Awesome, in a news release. “It was always a smashing success in Buckfield and I can’t wait to see how well it does in Freeport.”

The show has been performed from Maine to Switzerland and comes complete with an eccentric cast of characters including, Mike Miclon,

Jason Tardy, Matt Tardy, Dickie Hyper-Hynie, Moto Hoonchbach and the

“Early Evening Show Orchestra,” featuring Oren Robinson.

“The Early Evening Show” features wild improvisations, surprise guests, audience interactions and lots of prizes.
