Outlook: Raymond expects an “exciting season.” He’s confident in both the team’s offense and its defense, and says they’re looking to push the ball in transition as well. “We return a lot of players with varsity experience and have a group of newcomers who are eager to get into the action.” The team hopes to make another run deep into the playoffs.

Outlook: “We should have a very good team this year with 10 returning starters,” Perkins says. “Last year we [went] undefeated in the regular season, losing in triple overtime to Waynflete in the WMC championship.” Perkins notes that his squad drew a more challenging schedule this year, but emphasizes that great lacrosse should result. “Anytime you get as close as we did last year, all you want is for the season to start as soon as possible and try to get over the hump.” He adds that this year’s team has a great deal of experience in its returning starters, as well as intimidating offensive prowess in Steidl and Perkins, each of whom scored more than 50 goals last season.

Outlook: Sullivan is excited for the season. “I have a lot of seniors, but also a lot of young athletic players that will be the future of Cape girls tennis,” Sullivan says. “I’m looking for my seniors to take that big step this year and show their experience and competitiveness when matches are close and we need that one match to win.”
