She enjoyed attending her children’s, as well as the grandchildren’s school activities. The summer months were spent camping at various campgrounds throughout Maine. During the winter months you could find her doing her thing, knitting sweaters, mittens, for the kids and grandkids alike.
She was a life member of Casco Chapter No. 160, Order of Eastern Star, Freeport, ME holding various offices. She enjoyed traveling throughout Maine attending “Star” events with her husband and her “Star” sisters.
She is predeceased by her husband Kenneth E. Manter. She is survived by her children, son Kevin Manter and wife Michelle; daughter Sheri French and husband Gary; son Scott Manter and wife Barbara; daughter Linda Davenport and husband Gene; daughter Shelley Bennett; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; her sister Judy Thompson and husband Reggie; brother Bryan Sloat and wife Pat; as well as several nieces and nephews.
