BRUNSWICK — Margaret A. Derocher, 90, a longtime resident of Brunswick, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Horizons Living & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Bath, Feb. 28, 1922, the daughter of Cleveland P. and Susan E. Sparks Curtis. She attended Bowdoinham schools. Her husband, Joseph L. “Frank” Derocher died Oct. 16, 1988.

At age 5 she moved to Bowdoinham, where she lived prior to moving to Brunswick in 1965.

Mrs. Derocher was employed for several years at Auerbach Shoe in Brunswick.

She of a member of the Second Baptist Church in Bowdoinham, where she was a member of the choir. She was a 50-year member of Merrymeeting Grange in Bowdoinham.

She was predeceased by a brother, Arthur P. “Bud” Curtis. She is survived by a son, Paul Derocher and his wife, Patricia of Lisbon Falls; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick, with the Rev. John Stratton officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in the spring.
