BRUNSWICK — Charles L. Hibbard, 50, passed away on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, with his family by his side at Parkview Adventist Medical Center due to complications after a long battle with cancer.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a memorial service on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the First Parish Congregational Church, 422 Hallowell Road, Pownal, with a reception immediately following.

Charlie was born on Nov. 20, 1962, in Portland to Linda (Hibbard) Soucy and the late Harold E. Hibbard Jr. of Pownal.

He graduated from Greely High School in 1983. Charlie married Tina (Shockley) Hibbard in 2008 and they lived together in Brunswick.

Charlie worked for many years as a finish carpenter. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, his love of hunting and fishing were only exceeded by his love for his wife and daughter. He enjoyed spending as much time as possible hunting and fishing with family and friends.

Linda, Charlie is survived by his daughter, Allison Hibbard; his granddaughter; his brothers, Harold Hibbard III of North Yarmouth, Jody Hibbard of Pownal, Tony Hibbard of Norwich, Conn., and Stanley Hibbard of Lisbon; a nephew, Harold Hibbard IV; and a niece, Victoria Hibbard.
