OLYMPIA, Wash. — John “Jake” Thomas Riley Horgan, age 26, formerly of Stowe Lane, Brunswick, died Thursday, December 6th at his residence. He was born on November 10, 1986 in Boston, MA, the son of Dr. Matthew D. Horgan of Bath, ME and Patricia L. Riley of Brunswick, ME. He attended the St. John’s School, Brunswick High School, Green Mountain College and graduated from Evergreen State College in 2010. He enjoyed a semester in India at the Auroville Ecovillage.

Jake loved music, going to concerts, camping, hiking, and snow-boarding. Jake enjoyed boating with his friends on Casco Bay. He especially loved his black lab, Riley.

Surviving besides his parents, is a brother Patrick Liam Horgan of Brunswick, ME, his paternal grandparents Timothy and Lois Horgan of Venice, FL, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 16th from 2- 4 and 6-8PM at Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 17th at 11AM at St. John’s the Baptist Church-All Saints Parish, Pleasant St., Brunswick.
