GRAY — Michael Paul LeTarte, 53, of Gray Manor in Gray, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, after a courageous battle that he fought until the end.

He was born in Brunswick on Feb. 12, 1959, the son of Raymond and Nancy (Huppe) LeTarte. He grew up in Brunswick and graduated from Brunswick High School, class of 1977. After graduation, Michael worked for Shaw’s Supermarkets and then Amenity Manor before becoming disabled.

In the spring of 1998, Michael moved in to the Gray Manor, where he has made many friends that became family to him. He was the cribbage champ. If anyone wanted to play a game of cards, Michael was the man to beat. Sports was another passion of his. On game days you would find Michael routing for his favorite teams, be it the Bruins, Red Sox or the Patriots. He was a man with a big heart and will be sadly missed by all those that loved him.

He is predeceased by his mother, Nancy LeTarte.

Michael leaves behind his father, Raymond LeTarte of Brunswick; sister, Melanie Robinson and her husband, Robert of Brunswick; a nephew, Joshua Smith of Brunswick, and a niece, Jessica Smith of Auburn; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

There will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at St. John the Baptist Church, Pleasant Street, Brunswick.
