DURHAM — William Speyer Flint, 45, of Durham passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012.

He was born on March 6, 1967 in Glens Falls, NY, the son of Donald and Florence (Speyer) Flint, formerly of Hudson Falls, NY. He graduated from Hudson Falls High School Class of 1985, and recently mentioned he “Varsity-lettered” in Bowling with a 208 score. He attended the College of Saint Rose, Adirondack Community College and University of Maine.

Bill lived in Durham for over 20 years and was employed by L.L. Bean for 20 years. He most recently worked for Denny Curtis of Curtis Property Maintenance of N. Yarmouth.

Bill adored spending time with girlfriend, Linda Cleaves, and her grandchildren, Kylee and Mikala. He was a New England sports/weather fanatic, and enjoyed weekend cookouts/ gatherings. During the week, he was the neighborhood watchdog at the kid’s morning bus stop. He loved his Le’mobile which he drove around town daily.

Surviving in addition to his parents of Florida, Linda and her grandkids; are sister, Donna Flint-Wheeler, her husband Paul of Texas, and their four sons, Thomas, Phillip, Benjamin and Jacob. He was predeceased in 2004 by sister, Cynthia Flint-Ferguson and leaves her children, Emeline and Moses. Well-loved here in Durham, he leaves David “Butter” (roommate), Jimmy “Soup”, Kevin, Gregg & Molly, Dan, Zeke, Beth, Lori, Peg, so many from Pat’s in Yarmouth, the church group in Pownal/Durham, and too many more friends to mention.

Bill’s family will greet friends from 10 to noon Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Carleton Funeral Home Inc., 68 Main St., Hudson Falls, NY, with funeral services following. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery in Ticonderoga at 2:30 p.m.

A celebration of Bill’s life will also be held at the Durham AMVETS hall on Sunday, Nov. 25th from 1pm to 4pm. Please join in sharing memories.
