Looking back after a tough campaign
I’m very grateful to the voters of House District 128 in Scarborough for the confidence they placed in me on Election Day. By voting to send me back to Augusta as their representative, they made it clear that they support my legislative work on such priorities as health care, government transparency and doing all we can to improve our business climate to help create jobs and overall prosperity.
This was a hard-fought campaign plagued by extensive negative attacks on my record. I understand that politics, even at the state level, is hardball. Nonetheless, I was disturbed by the tone and tenor of the attacks. I’m gratified that Scarborough residents could see through this negative noise and remember the many solid accomplishments of the last session. I have made a point of basing my work on facts, research and constituent input, not politics, and will continue to do so for the next two years.

Good, clean race in House District 124
It was an honor and a pleasure getting out and about to meet the residents for House District 124 in South Portland. I thank every one of you for your well wishes, support and votes. Please join me in sending congratulations to Bryan Kaenrath! From the start we agreed to disagree, not to make it personal or take it personal. He ran a good clean race. Congratulations, Brian!

Congratulations to Rep. Sirocki for her win in this past election. I have nothing but best wishes for her for a productive term in the 126th Legislature.
I also wish to thank the nearly 3,000 people of Scarborough who supported my ideal of returning real common sense and a positive direction to the state through the ballot box. It was a very close race. I am sure your voice was heard. Your votes certainly counted!
