Husband of the late Marjorie Storer; father of Joel Storer (Kathleen); grandfather of Christopher, Bridget and Caroline Storer. Preceded in death by his son, Taylor Storer, and his brother, Andrew Storer.
James Storer was born and raised in Watertown, NY. He was a former professor and dean of Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine from 1948 to 1969. He served as Director, Fishery Economics and Institutions Division, Department of Fisheries, at the Food and Agriculture Organization (UN) in Rome, Italy from 1969 to 1973. He also served as Director of the Office of Fisheries Affairs at the U.S. Department of State from 1978 to 1986.
A memorial service will be held at Murphy
