BRUNSWICK — “Betting The Farm,” a documentary film by Cecily Pingree and Jason Mann, will be shown today and Friday, Oct. 26, at the Frontier Cinema Cafe with screenings at 5 and 7 p.m.
Both 7 p.m. screenings will be attended by one of the filmmakers for a discussion after the film.
“Betting The Farm” is the story of Maine dairy farmers Vaughn Chase, Richard Lary and Aaron Bell who are dropped by their national milk company and confronted with the possibility of losing their farms. Banding together, they launch their own milk company, Maine’s Own Organic Milk.
