A local nonprofit group is helping people be informed about the process of buying a home.
Coastal Enterprises Inc., a nonprofit community development organization will offer the First-Time Homebuyer Seminar on four evenings, Nov. 6, 8, 13 and 15, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Morse High School.
Seminar topics include evaluating your credit and what price home you can afford; budgeting and money management; selecting and working with real estate agent, home inspections, types of available mortgages; and the closing process and post-closing considerations.
Pre-registration is required and there is a $30-per-person or $50-per-couple fee. The deadline for registrations is Oct. 30.
