All-day K group ?to meet Oct. 4
The All-Day Kindergarten Committee is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4, in the conference room at the School Department in Gorham Municipal Center, 75 South St.
The committee is exploring the feasibility of an all-day kindergarten program in the three elementary schools.
Halloween costume swap
Dance Studio of Maine, 6 School St., is hosting a Halloween costume swap 12-3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, as part of National Costume Swap Day.
Those dropping off a costume between now and Thursday, Oct. 11, will receive a ticket to choose a costume on Oct. 13. The studio will be accepting clean in good condition costumes at 6 School St. between the hours of 3-5 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. It will not be available on Wednesdays.
Free activities on Oct. 13 include face painting, learning a Halloween dance and more. For more information, call 839-6161.
Project Graduation events under way
Gorham’s Project Graduation Committee has a slate of activities planned.

Woman’s club ?to meet
Gorham Woman’s Club will meet Thursday, Oct. 11, in Fellowship Hall at First Parish Church at 12:30 p.m.
This will be a lively get-acquainted potluck luncheon. Everyone is asked to take a friend.

Triad to receive Joyce donation
Gorham Police Officer Ted Hatch has announced that Cumberland County Sheriff Kevin Joyce will present a $1,000 donation to Gorham/Westbrook Triad at its meeting at 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 5.
Triad is a coalition of senior citizens, community providers and law enforcement that promote safety and well-being of seniors.

Pharmacy discount cards
Gorham Town Manager David Cole has announced pharmacy saver cards are now available.
The card is free to all Gorham residents and will provide an average savings of 23 percent on all prescription medications at more than 58,000 pharmacies nationwide, including CVS, Walgreens, Rite-Aid, Costco, Walmart, Target and local pharmacies like Community Pharmacy, Hannaford Pharmacy and Rite-Aid in Gorham.
Some prescriptions are up to a 75 percent savings.
The free card is available from any department in the Gorham Municipal Center, 75 South St., or one can be printed by visiting www.gorham-me.org and clicking on the Free Pharmacy Discount Cards under News and Announcements.
Fall brush disposal
For Gorham residents, Gorham Public Works Department off Huston Road will accept brush on Saturday, Oct. 20, and on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 8 a.m. until noon.
No stumps allowed.
