SANFORD – The Sanford girls soccer team beat Westbrook 7-2 in Sanford Wednesday afternoon.
Scoring for the 6-0 Spartans in the first half were Hannah Kallis (assisted by Ali Legere), and Morgan Fogg (assisted by Kallis). In the second half, Kallis and Rachel Fink scored on goals assisted by Morgan Fogg, who also knocked in a goal, on a pass from Kaela Godwin. Mikayla Simpson also scored a goal, from Taylor Littlefield, as did Sam Fecteau, on an assist from Kallis.
For Westbrook (1-4), Emily Thornton scored on an assist by Marissa Martel, who scored a goal of her own
in the second half assisted by Katie Clark.
Sanford’s Kellie Tovey had eight saves, while Westbrook’s Samantha Russell tallied 19 saves on 36 shots.
Sanford takes on Massabesic at home Thursday at 6 p.m.
