Liberty, MO — Robert S. “Bob” Black, 71, of Liberty, MO passed away November 10, 2011. Bob was born November 4, 1940 in Laconia, NH to Kenneth and Marjorie Black. An Air Force veteran and member of the National Hang Gliding Association, Bob retired from TWA in 1995. Bob lived an active and adventurous life before Alzheimer’s took him away.
Survivors include his wife, Jan; son, Brian Black and wife Claire, Acworth, GA; daughter Theresa Black and husband Alan Stevens, Leawood, KS; grandson, Kieran Black; granddaughter, Analise Black; mother Marjorie Black, Orr’s Island, ME and brothers, Karl Black, Quincy, IL and Tim Black, Orr’s Island, ME.
A graveside military service will be held Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 2pm at the Orr’s Island Cemetery, Orr’s Island, ME followed by a celebration of Bob’s life at the Harris girls’ Shorehouse at the foot of Merrit House Rd.
