PORTLAND — Roger Hanna was born in Portland, ME on July 19, 1935, a son of Joseph and Vera Hanna of Durham, ME. Roger had a degree in Agriculture, worked as a General Contractor and at BIW for a large part of his life. He enjoyed many hobbies, including collecting Stanley planes and restoring military vehicles.

Roger passed away on Saturday September 1, 2012 after a long fight with Parkinson’s. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Young. He is survived by his two sisters: Nina Jochum and Judy Ricketson; one brother, Dave Hanna; three sons: Roy, James and Robert Hanna; two daughters: Rhonda Nicholson and Tammy Champagne; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A time of gathering and visitation will be held on Saturday September 15, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM concluding with a Masonic Service at Lindquist Funeral Home, One Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth, ME 04096.
