She was born in Brunswick, February 5, 1937, the daughter of George and Ruth Collins Bamforth. She graduated from Brunswick High School, Class of 1957. She married Henry E. Haley in Norwalk, CA, June 27, 1957.
Following her husband’s Navy career, they returned to Brunswick in 1970.
Mrs. Haley worked in nursing homes, at the Brunswick Naval Air Station Exchange, in area stores and operated a Day Care in her home from 1989 until the mid 1990’s.
She was a member of the 2nd Baptist Church, Bowdoinham and was a substitute teacher in the Sunday School.
She was predeceased by 4 sisters, Virginia Staples, Margaret Carter, Marion Garland and Elizabeth Carter.
She is survived by her husband of Brunswick; a son, Edward G. Haley of Lisbon Falls and his wife, Lisa; a daughter, Deborah Haley of Brunswick; 5 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and a step great grandchild.
Friends may visit Wednesday, from 5-7 p.m. at the Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal Street, Brunswick. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev.
