POLAND — Poland Spring Preservation Society will present Two Old Friends, featuring Mac McHale and Emery Hutchins, at its summer concert series on Monday, Aug. 13, at 7 p.m.

A news release describes Two Old Friends as follows:

Mac McHale and Emery Hutchins, are musicians who play and sing a unique combination of Celtic and American country music, and in their performances seek to show the connection between the two genres.

McHale has been inducted into the International Bluegrass Music Museum as a pioneer of bluegrass music.

Hutchins performs a variety of different styles of acoustic music from traditional Irish tunes to vintage American country music songs.

Two Old Friends music is a mixture of American blues pieces juxtaposed with Irish jigs and reels. For more information about Two Old Friends, visit www.twooldfriends.com

All proceeds benefit the preservation and restoration of the Maine State Building and All Souls Chapel, both of which are listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, and also helps fund educational programs.

Tickets are $7.50 at the door and include refreshments.

Members of the Society may be seated at 6:25 p.m. with the general public following at 6:30 p.m.
