BRUNSWICK — “New Seas of Adventures” is on tap during the United Methodist Church’s adult Vacation Bible School summer club.
The club meets July 23 to 27 from 6 to 8 p.m., the same time as the children’s VBS program.
From 6 to 6:30 p.m., there will be snacks and schmoozing time. At 6:30 p.m., the programs start promptly.
The church is located at 320 Church Road. For more information, call 725-2185 or email umc.br@myfairpoint.net.
The lineup of faith and health connection topics include:
— “Your Body Is a Temple!” seminar and discussion with Dr. Thomas J. Augat of Augat Chiropractic in Brunswick.
— “Is Diabetes Eyeballing You and Your Family?” by Cheryl Farley, nutritionist and founder of Ready, Set, Go Healthy. There will be a cooking demonstration as well.
— “The Lord’s Prayer Seminar and Discussion,” a twoday discussion comparing the Lord’s Prayer in the Aramaic translation with the traditional familiar version currently recited.
One American Sign Language consultant has described praying the Lord’s Prayer using sign language as a dance of hands and heart with God. Come learn this prayer using American Sign Language.
Each evening holds a different adventure and a surprise mini-concert jam completes the week.
Remember to call ahead, email or register on the Fellowship Hall’s Agape Café board to help ensure adequate materials and food are available.
