LITCHFIELD — Morrill “Bert” A. Bergeron, 93 formerly of Litchfield died at his daughter’s home in Mars Hill Maine on 7/5/12 after a brief illness, he was surrounded by his family.
He was born in Manchester, N.H. on Dec., 13, 1918 a son of Joseph C. Bergeron and Louisa E. Girouard Bergeron. He is survived by his daughter Nan-Elizabeth Bergeron Neal her husband William A, Neal, Jr., his granddaughter Abby J. Sirois, her husband RJ and his great grandson Ryder, from Orrington, Me, his grandson Lee A. Reynolds, and his fiancée Taryn Rand and his great granddaughters Hailie and Lyla, from Litchfield, ME., two step grandsons William J. Neal (Billy from Brewer, Me) and Brian P. Neal from Wales, ME and his family, his sister Evelyn Kelleher of Cambridge Ma.
Bert and Dickie (Marion Norwood Bergeron his wife) moved to Litchfield in 1949 to the “camp” and over the years built a beautiful home with many wonderful memories, Bert owned a business on Front St in Bath Maine (Bert’s Appliances) and was an avid golf player at the bath Country Club and he and Dickie traveled all over the country on vacations and snowmobiled throughout the State of Maine.. Bert served in the Army in World War II in the Pacific front, and a lifetime member of the American Legion William R. Bold Post 181 Litchfield. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday July 10th at 2pm at Staples Funeral Home 53 Brunswick Ave Gardiner. Burial with full military honors will follow the service in the Litchfield Plains Cemetery where he will be beside his wife Dickie.
