FALMOUTH — A self-guided tour of a dozen Falmouth gardens will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, rain or shine. Proceeds from the tour will benefit the Falmouth Memorial Library and St. Mary’s Garden Club in Falmouth.

The garden locations will remain a secret until the morning of the tour, but several of the gardens offer spectacular ocean views.

Two authors — Judy Paolini, author of “The Inspired Garden,” and Lisa Colburn, author of “The Maine Garden Journal” — will sign their books at different gardens on the tour.

The gardens featured include a black garden, a secret garden, rose gardens, a parterre garden, a glade garden and a nationally recognized artist’s personal sculpture garden, along with stonework, ocean overlooks and neighboring gardens with connecting paths.

Garden tour tickets are on sale now. Tickets cost $20 in advance or $25 the day of the tour. Tickets can be purchased at Estabrook’s, O’Donal’s Nursery, Skillins Greenhouses, Allen, Sterling & Lothrup or at the library. They can also be purchased online with a credit card at the library’s website, www.FalmouthMemorialLibrary.org.

Tickets will be available after 9 a.m. Saturday at the library on Lunt Road. No pets are allowed on the tour, and no refunds will be given.

For more information, visit the library’s website or call 781-2351.
