THE CENTER STAGE PLAYERS, minus John and Kathleen Sutherland, stand outside The Theater Project, 14 School St., Brunswick.
“LOL” — or “Laughing Out Loud” — is a collection of comedic pieces illustrating human foibles, according to a release from The Theater Project. The show features some original material, including a segment that highlights the idiosyncrasies of the Center Stage Players themselves.
The Center Stage Players began at People Plus as a local readers theater group, directed by The Theater Project’s Al Miller. After a few years of unofficial residency, The Center Stage Players this year have been incorporated into The Theater Project’s programs.
Performances of “LOL” are scheduled for 7 p.m. today, 2 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. All tickets are “pay what-you want,” with a suggested price of $5. No reservations are necessary, but tickets are available online anytime at www.theaterproject.com or by calling 729-8584.
