WESTMINSTER, AC — Marcelle S. Pinette Rodrigue, 90, died November 23, 2011, in the Extended Care Hospital of Westminster, California, after a long illness.

She was born and raised in Brunswick, the daughter of the late Arthur and Alma Pinette. She attended ST. John’s School and was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She worked in the shipyard in Bath during the war. Marcelle loved life. She was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and her family meant everything to her. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed working in her gardens.

Her favorite color was yellow and you would find this color in many areas of her home.

In 1946, Marcelle married Frederic Laurier Rodrigue (Larry) of Lewiston, Maine. After their marriage, they moved to Lakewood, California, where together, they raised their family. Larry died December 22, 1995. She is also predeceased by a son, Frederic Laurier, Jr., who died at the age of seven months, seven sisters, Cecile, Marie Laure, Therese, Lorina,

Celine, Angela and Gloria, four brothers, Laurier, Robert, Richard and Maxime.

Surviving are two children, a daughter, Mary Marguerite Miernik and her husband, John of Riverside, California; a son, Frederic John and his wife, Ellen of El Cerrito, California; a grandson, Paul Miernik of Redlands, California; two stepgranddaughters, Rachel and Hanna Landsman of El Cerrito, CA; one brother, David Pinette and his wife Alene of Garden Grove, CA; three sisters, Rochelle Scheutzow of Winter Park, FL, Valencia and her husband Gerard O. Menard of Brunswick, Maine and Denise Lebrun of Biddeford, Maine; a sister-inlaw, Gertrude Pinette of Vernon, CT and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 19th at St. John’s Cemetery, Brunswick Maine at 1:00pm. A reception will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 132 McKeen Street, Brunswick. To share your thoughts and condolences with the family, please visit www.desmondfuneralhomes.com.
