Proper disposal of unused medications keeps Maine’s waters cleaner and our residents safer. In case you’re wondering whether it’s worthwhile or not, after the previous collection in October 2011, Michael W. Wardrop, of U.S. DEA, Portland, reported that “Maine had the largest collection in New England with 14,140 pounds collected” and “Maine ranked No. 1 per capita in the U.S. for the largest state collection.”
Please help by dropping off unused meds during the designated hours. Thank you.
