FREEPORT — William “Bill” McLoon, 78, officer of the former McLoon Oil Company in Rockland, passed away peacefully Friday, March 30, 2012 at a Lewiston hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 18th at Achorn Cemetery, Old County Road, Rockland. Memorial donations may be made in Bill’s name to Hope Haven Gospel Mission, 209 Lincoln Street, Lewiston, ME 04240, or the Humane Society of Knox County, P.O. Box 1294, Rockland, ME 04841.
