BOWDOIN — Last weekend, the Sagadahoc County Sheriff ’s Department received various reports of thefts, including a hydraulic dump trailer from Bowdoin.
At around 7:30 a.m. Saturday, a Bowdoin resident reported that two vehicles parked on a road off Litchfield Road and about $200 were taken overnight.
At 11:37 a.m. Saturday, a Bowdoinham resident reported two plastic rollaway garbage cans, worth an estimated $25 each, had been stolen.
At 6:58 a.m. Sunday, roofing materials worth about $550 were reported stolen from River Road in Woolwich.
A series of unlocked vehicles on New Meadows Road in West Bath were entered and different items taken, according to reports filed at 8 a.m. Sunday.
At 1:04 p.m. Monday, a commercial plate was reported stolen from a vehicle on Route 1 in Woolwich. A minute later, the sheriff ’s department received a report that a red 2001 DownEaster trailer was taken from a Lewis Hill residence in Bowdoin. Worth about $5,000, the dump-style hydraulic trailer has dual axles with wooden sides above medal sides. The trailer was last seen Saturday.
At about 3:30 p.m. Monday, a Phippsburg resident reported a burglar swiped a laptop worth approximately $900 from a residence.
Sometime between March 17 and Tuesday, someone stole construction staging and two ladders worth a total of about $3,800 from Milt Carlton Road in Woolwich. The sheriff ’s department had no suspects as of Wednesday.
At about 6 p.m. Tuesday, three bicycles were reported stolen from the front yard along Route 1 in Woolwich. Two of them were mountain bicycles and the other was a BMX. However, the thieves left a bicycle worth more than any of those taken in the yard, according to sheriff ’s department reports.
