BRUNSWICK — A 61-year-old Brunswick woman was taken to Maine Medical Center on Tuesday evening after the bicycle she was riding collided with a car on McKeen Street.
Joyce Welt, 50, of 165 Hillside Road is in satisfactory conditions at the Portland hospital this morning, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
Welt was riding with traffic along McKeen Street toward Church road, near Palmer Street, when the crash occurred, Brunswick Police Department Deputy Police Chief Marc Hagan said today.
Witnesses reported that Welt signaled that she intended to turn left, then collided with a 2010 Toyota driven by 74-year-old Weld Henshaw of 363 Bunganuc Road, according to Hagan.
Henshaw’s vehicle sustained damage to the rear quarter panel on the passenger’s side.
No charges are pending.
