NEWCASTLE — Bruce A. Creamer, 58, passed away at his home in Newcastle on the morning of April 11, 2012 after a brief illness.

Born in Damariscotta on November 20th 1953, he was the son of Paul and Esther (Winchenbach) Creamer.

Bruce grew up in Newcastle, attending local schools and graduating from Lincoln Academy where he was a member of the Track & Field team.

After school, he worked as a clam digger for many years before going to work as a pipe coverer for Bath Iron Works. A job he remained at for the past 23 years.

Bruce was a private man who, more than anything, enjoyed being with his family. When he wasn’t with them, he would be found outdoors either hunting or fishing.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers, Paul, Robert, Gary and Frank; as well as a sister, Joan.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Creamer of Newcastle; three daughters, Jennifer Martin and her husband Jan of Georgetown, Kristie Creamer and her significant other Travis O’Brien of Bremen, and Tiffany Beaucage and her husband Alan of Alna; 1 brother, Richard Creamer and his wife Peggy of Wiscasset; 4 sisters, Lorraine Butts and her husband Harold of Scarborough, Loretta Sosebee of Buxton, Esther Brewer and her husband Vernon of Wiscasset, and Donna Greene of Portland; 5 grandchildren, Kyle and Kaylee O’Brien, Alexis Bailey and Izac and Alie Beaucage; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 18th at the Highland Cemetery in Edgecomb.
