BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Downtown Association (BDA) seeks nominations for its 2012 Downtown Preservation awards.

The awards honor people and organizations deemed to “have created tangible value in the heart of the community through renovation or restoration of existing buildings, or through new construction that restores and enhances the traditional streetscape.”

Last year, preservation projects at The Carney House on Park Row by Richard and Ann Nemrow, the Union Street School by the Brunswick Town Council of 2010, and the Captain Daniel Stone Inn on Water Street by John and Kim Verreault.

Winners of this year’s award will be announced on May 24.
