Coach: Jeff Perkins

Last year’s record: 10-4

Key returning players: Cape needs to get a strong year out of Elin Sonneson, Bella Robinson, Janessa White, Jane Coffrin, Lauren Steidl, Talley Perkins, Hannah Newhall and Abby McInerney in order to post a successful season.

Key games this season: Gorham, Yarmouth, Scarborough and Falmouth should provide the Capers with all they can handle in 2012.

Season outlook: “We will be trying to make the elusive Class B championship game after just missing last year,” Perkins said. “The team has a lot of solid players returning from last year’s Western Conference runner-up team. A young defense will be anchored by two first-team western Maine all-conference players: goalie Elin Sonneson and defender Jane Coffrin. Lauren Steidl and Talley Perkins will make up a solid tandem roaming the Mid-Field. A strong non-conference schedule along with tough games versus Yarmouth and Falmouth will be a great test to see if they will have what it takes.”
