PORTLAND — One of the defendants in an alleged attack with a baseball bat and crowbar was released from jail today and one of the injured men is out of the hospital.
Nicholas Richards, 23, and Peter Tracy, 22, both of Portland, have been charged in connection with the Friday night incident in Standish.
Richards is free on $10,000 cash bail. He faces two charges of elevated aggravated assault.
Tracy, who is charged with elevated aggravated assault and aggravated assault, remains held on $100,000 cash bail.
The men are accused of attacking 29-year-old Ryan Wescott and his brother, 25-year-old Shane Wescott.
Shane Wescott has been discharged from Maine Medical Center. The hospital would not release information about Ryan Wescott today, but he had been listed in critical condition Monday.
Witnesses told authorities that there had been tension between Shane Wescott and Tracy because Shane Wescott was dating Tracy’s ex-girlfriend, according to a detective’s incident report.
