BRUNSWICK — Sister Therese St. Onge, OSU, 91, formally Georgette St. Onge of Brunswick, ME died peacefully at Golden Years Retreat, Christ Church, Barbados, BWI on February 23.

She was born in Brunswick on April 16, 1920 a daughter of the late Delia Tardiff and George St. Onge.

She was predeceased by her sisters Lillian Lebel and Sister Martine St. Onge, Marist Missionary, and her twin brother George St. Onge.

She is survived by her two sisters; Sister Florence St. Onge, Marist Missionary of Wellesley, MA and M. France Kelley of Brunswick, ME, and her brother Jean St. Onge of Venice, FL and Brunswick, ME.

After attending St. John’s Catholic School in Brunswick, she graduated from Mount Merici Academy in Waterville. She entered the Ursuline Convent (OSU) in 1941. Sister worked in an orphanage in Guyana where she taught and did development work; she also served as Director of the orphanage for some years. Another assignment was in Barbados where she served for a short time and to which she returned in recent years for medical care.

Her funeral and burial took place on February 27 in Barbados.
