BIDDEFORD — Cara Cole and Hannah Tavella combined to score 12 goals and record six assists to lead the University of New England women’s lacrosse team to a 21-11 win over New England College in a non-conference match played Tuesday afternoon at the Big Blue Turf.
Winners of five consecutive outings, the Nor’easters improved to 7-2. NEC saw its two-game win streak come to an end to slip to 2-4.
Tavella finished with a match- high seven goals, including four in the first half, as the Nor’easters built a 9-3 advantage. Cole added five markers and handed out a game-high four assists while also coming up with five draw controls.
Brunswick’s Olivia Robbins played well on the defensive end for UNE.
