BRUNSWICK — More than 40 students in sixth grade math classes at Brunswick Junior High School will exhibit their art from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Community Room of the Mid Coast Senior Health Center, 58 Baribeau Drive. Admission to the public event is free.
“After studying geometry for several weeks, students were assigned a project to design a 3D model with an accompanying two- minute talk,” a Mid Coast Senior Health Center release states. “ Students were asked to incorporate geometry terms represented by their model.”
“Many students went above and beyond expectations of the project,” Laura Waite, a sixth grade math teacher, said in the release. “This project demonstrates the new skills that students acquired, many through self-teaching.”
The exhibit runs through April 20.
