TOPSHAM — Topsham police responded to a single-vehicle crash Monday night that sent two people to a Brunswick hospital for complaints of pain.

The crash on River Road was reported at 8:34 p.m. According to Topsham Police Lt. Christopher Lewis, a 2000 Acura driven by Matthew R. Hatke, 20, of 23 Tufton St., Brunswick, was traveling east on River Road. Hatke was allegedly driving the car too fast into a curve, causing it to skid, leave the roadway and roll over.

The driver and a 19-year-old male passenger were not injured but two additional passengers, ages 18 and 15, were transported to Mid Coast Hospital by Topsham and Brunswick ambulances.

One complained of head pain and the other reported neck pain. According to a hospital representative, both were treated and released.

No charges were issued as a result of the crash.
