BRUNSWICK — Mid Coast Hospital’s annual health care career day for area high school, college and post-secondary school students will take place Wednesday.
A focus will be on new technology which “has changed the traditional X-ray Department into a fast paced Diagnostic Imaging Department,” a hospital release states.
Staff from Diagnostic Imaging and other departments, will be available in the hospital’s Café Conference Rooms to talk with students from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Students may arrive between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. After they have visited with departments in the conference rooms, they can take a guided tour of the hospital and meet more staff.
High school guidance departments have received a packet of information about Healthcare Career Day, and may be contacted for more information about transportation. Students may come on their own, and parents are welcome to accompany students.
Register by calling 373-6015 or emailing mstewart@midcoasthealth.com by Monday.
The Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary also will explain its scholarship program. The scholarship deadline is April 15, and applications are available online at www.midcoasthealth.com/volunteer.
