BATH — A 27-year-old Bath woman remains in Two Bridges Regional Jail today awaiting arraignment after she was arrested twice in two days — in both Brunswick and Bath — for allegedly assaulting her former husband.
Echo Alexander, 27, of 570 Middle St., was charged with domestic violence assault in both cases.
On Tuesday morning, Brunswick police responded to Gleed Drive just after 11:30 a.m., after a man reported that his ex-girlfriend had assaulted him, threatened him, slashed the tires and “keyed” his car, and then left the scene, Deputy Chief Marc Hagan of the Brunswick Police Department said Thursday.
Alexander had already left the scene when police arrived, but Assistant Marine Warden Paul Plummer stopped her on Route 1, according to Brunswick Police Capt. Mark Waltz.
Alexander was charged with domestic violence assault, as well as criminal threatening, criminal mischief, sale and use of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.
She was released on $5,000 secured bail.
At 8:18 p.m. Wednesday, Bath police went to 570 Middle St. after the same man — who Bath police said is Alexander’s former husband — reported that she threw a solid glass figurine at him, striking him in the back of the head, Bath Police Lt. Stan Cielinski said.
Alexander was again charged with domestic violence assault, illegal possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of bail conditions from the Tuesday charge of domestic violence assault, Cielinski said.
She was taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset, where bail on the domestic violence charge was set at $10,000 cash. However, Alexander was held without bail after violating conditions of her previous release, Cpl. Kyle Canada said Wednesday.
She was scheduled to be arraigned today.
