BATH — Harold R. Glover, age 54 passed away peacefully Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Mid Coast Hospital with his loving family by his side.

He was born on May 19, 1957, the son of James and Catherine Glover ( Nee: Donahue), the 5th of 9 children, in Highland Falls, NY.

Hal grew up and was educated in the New York area. After High School he served in the Navy from 1975-1982.

He has worked for the Federal Government, for 35 years, as a Production Controller in SUPSHIP Brooklyn and SUPSHIP Bath until his death.

Hal loved to read, was a history buff, Loved his Yankees, the theatre, music, especially the Beatles and wrote poetry.

While working at SUPSHIP Brooklyn he met his soul mate, Ann Lemmerman and was married on Sept. 2, 1989.

In 1991 he was offered a position at SUPSHIP Bath and Hal, Ann and baby Lizzie moved up to Bath. Then lowand behold their son Tom was born in 1993.

Hal was always active in the Community and his Church. He was an active member in the Knights of Columbus, a past Union President and active shop steward for AFGE local at his place of work. His biggest care/concern was taking care of people in need. That’s why Hal was involved, for many years in the Bath Area Food Bank. He currently was the “ Chair” person for the Food Bank and represented St. Mary’s Church.

He is survived by his wife Ann of Bath, a daughter Elizabeth Glover of Boston, MA and a son Thomas Glover of Bath, ME, his mother, Catherine Glover of Newburgh, NY, 4 brothers; Patrick Glover, Newburgh, NY, Michael Glover and wife Maria, Newburgh, NY, William Glover and wife Christine of Philadelphia, PA, Joseph Glover and wife Anne of Fort Wayne, IN, and 3 sisters; Joan Hutlock and husband James of Newburgh, NY, Margaret Glover of Newburgh, NY and MaryAnn Olympia and husband Scott of Newburgh, NY. And many nieces and nephews.

He was a loving husband, dad, son and brother and will be sadly missed by all.

He was predeceased by a brother, James Glover.

The family would like to especially thank the nurses and CNAs at Mid Coast Hospital on Medical/ Surgical So., rm.250 for all the special loving attention and care they gave our Dad and my husband during his stay. We appreciate all you had done for him to make him feel at ease and comfortable.

Visiting hours will be held at Desmond Funeral Home, 638 High Street, Bath on Tuesday, March 6th from 4:00 – 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 7th at 11 AM at Saint Mary’s Church, Lincoln Street, Bath.
