BRUNSWICK — A 58-year-old Brunswick man was arrested at midday Friday after police allegedly found him with a loaded semi-automatic pistol at a local soup kitchen.
Archie Lully, 58, of 9 Dunning St., Apt. 1D, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, Deputy Chief Marc Hagan of the Brunswick Police Department said today.
Three officers responded at 11: 07 a. m. to Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program on Union Street, where an employee of the soup kitchen reported seeing what appeared to be a weapon.
The suspect was leaving the building as police arrived, and officers confronted him in the parking lot outside the front door, according to Hagan.
Lully was allegedly carrying a loaded, semi-automatic .380 pistol. He was taken into custody and later released on $500 unsecured bail from the Brunswick police station.
Lully is scheduled to appear in West Bath District Court on May 8.
