WELLS – The Cape Elizabeth boys basketball team won’t get a chance to defend its Class B West title this season. The No. 10 Capers saw their season end on Tuesday night with a 56-49 loss to No. 7 Wells in a prelim game.

The Capers held a four-point lead in the third quarter, only to see the Warriors, led by Dylan Stevens (who had a game-high 25 points) come back and grab the lead in the fourth as Wells went on a 19-8 fourth-quarter run to seal the win.

Chris Robicheaw scored 15 points to lead the Caper offense and teammate Henry Babcock added 11 points in the loss.
