PAT JEREMIAH, dressed in a cape she borrowed from the pages of Miss Rumphius, Barbara Cooney’s beloved children’s book about “the lupine lady,” will continue to present free indoor story hours at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens every Monday morning until May.
Programs will take place at Bosarge Family Education Center at the Gardens, welcoming youngsters for an hour of readings, questions and conversation. These programs are free and open to all children.
“Jeremiah is one of the Gardens’ most dedicated volunteers, helping out in numerous ways,” a Maine Botanical Gardens release states. “As the head librarian, she has helped build and curate the Gardens’ collection of books for more than a decade. As a knowledgeable horticulturist, she has taught gardening workshops. Through Storytime, she combines her love of books, gardens and children.”
No reservations are necessary.
