BATH — Rita Nell Hudson, 71, of Bath died peacefully Wednesday, January 25, 2012 with her family by her side after a long illness of Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was born on July 11, 1940 in Panama City, Florida, the daughter of Bueford L. Hoskins and V. Burnell Rutherford Gainer.
On May 8, 1965 she married John E. Hudson and they raised three daughters. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and friend.
She is predeceased by her parents and brothers, Bobby and James Hoskins.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, John, her sister Ruth Epling of Anniston, Alabama, her daughters Debbie Fuller and her husband Jon of South Gardiner, Melissa York and her husband James of Phippsburg, Kelly Wyman and her husband Edward of Bath; grandchildren, Melissa Lewis and her husband Dominick Antoine of Sidney, Jonathan Fuller of Randolph, Erika Pullen and her husband Shawn of bath, Andrew Wyman and his girlfriend Meghan Morrell of Brunswick, James York III of Phippsburg; great-grandchildren, Daimian, Dominick, Ian, Aubrey, and Alexa. Many brother- in- laws, sister- inlaws, nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, January 31st from 4: 00 – 6: 00pm at the David E. Desmond & Son Funeral Home, 638 High Street, Bath. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, February 1st at 1:00pm at the funeral home.
