FORT MYERS, FL — Andrew G. Gerlek, 86, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully as the sun was setting on January 17, 2012, with his children at his bedside.

He was born January 30, 1925 in Lisbon Falls, Maine, the son of Andrew J. Gerlek and Annie Harbula.

His son Peter on August 17, 1963 and his beloved wife Mary Louise (Wenzel) on May 5, 2010 predeceased him.

Andrew leaves his sister Evelyn (Lippert) of Kansas City, Missouri; his children Stephen Gerlek of Anchorage, Alaska; Andrea Dickerson of Wilmington, Delaware; Patricia Gerlek- Rzepka of Sarasota, Florida; Cynthia Sullivan of Bonita Springs, Florida; his son-in-law William H. Sullivan (Hank); and Michael P. Gerlek of Bainbridge Island, Washington; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
