A driver veered off a road in Dresden on Saturday, allegedly while swerving to avoid another vehicle pulling out of a service station.

Nicholas E. Lamoreau, 21, of Pittston, was driving along Gardiner Road when a vehicle pulled into the roadway from the Dresden Texaco station. According to a report from Lincoln County Sheriff Todd Brackett, Lamoreau’s 2001 Pontiac Grand Am skidded off the road and into a ditch.

Lamoreau was not taken to the hospital in connection with the accident.
