The Red Claws acquired two players from the Texas Legends in a trade Friday for Maine’s second and third-round picks in the 2012 NBA Development League draft.
Guard Jerome Randle, 5-10 out of the University of California, will join the Red Claws immediately and play this weekend against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers at the Portland Expo. He was in the Dallas Mavericks’ training camp, getting in two exhibitions, and averaging 11 points and 2.0 assists.
Lawrence Hill, a 6-foot-8 forward out of Stanford, was in Sacramento’s camp and appeared in one exhibition. He has played in five games for the Legends, averaging 12.6 points and 6.6 rebounds. Because he cannot join the team immediately due to personal reasons, Hill will be waived and join Maine on an upcoming Texas trip.
