The show features Christmas songs rarely heard performed by other artists: “ Christmas Time’s AComin,” featuring the Laplante Siblings; Neil Sedaka’s “Love is Spreading Over the World;” the troupe’s two youngest performers singing “ I saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus;” and a rousing rendition of Bruce Springsteen’s “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” among others.
“‘Just Us’ is an eclectic group of families and friends who have been performing great music for generations,” a release from the group states. “Made up of 16 to 22 talented individuals ranging in age from preteens to age 76, we have two families being represented by three generations of performers. All music is performed live, and songs are learned by ear, no sheet music. Harmony comes from within the hearts of each talent.”
Nel Meservier plays keyboard and directs the singers.
“Our goal is to keep alive music that people remember the words to and can sing along,” the release states.
