BRUNSWICK
The 91 Brunswick Junior High School seventh-graders on the Jewell Island team have launched a food drive.
“The goal is for each student to bring in two canned goods or non-perishable food items to collect 184 items in all,” according to an email from math teacher Beth York.
The students placed a box for donations in the lobby of the school on Columbia Avenue, and they invite the community to contribute.
The food collected will be donated to the Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program on Wednesday.
