Topsham selectmen to discuss 3 items
TOPSHAM — The Board of Selectmen will hold a workshop Thursday at the municipal building in place of its regular meeting, which was canceled.
At 6 p.m., the board will hold a workshop with the Topsham Development Inc. board of directors to discuss bylaw changes. Directly following that workshop, at 7 p.m., selectmen will hold a workshop with the History Committee to talk about forming a committee to organize the town’s 250-year celebration in 2014.
At 7:30 p.m., selectmen are scheduled to discuss whether to ban the use and sale of fireworks in town when a new state law legalizing fireworks takes effect Jan. 1, 2012.
SAD 75 policy panel to meet on Thursday
TOPSHAM — The Policy Committee of the School Administrative District 75 school board will meet Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the district office.
On the agenda is discussion of student gifts and solicitations of funds; and weighted grades.
The meeting will be held in the superintendent’s conference room at the District Office, located at 50 Republic Ave.
Gardener to give program on plant gifts
BATH — Master Gardener Bonnie Studdiford will demonstrate the use of seasonal natural plant materials to create easy-to-make gifts and arrangements at 10: 30 a.m. Saturday at Patten Free Library on Summer Street.
She will use live and dried plants gathered from herb and perennial gardens, fields, and woods.

Gerzofsky, Priest set Saturday coffee talk
BRUNSWICK — Two of Brunswick’s four state legislators will hold “office hours” Saturday morning to speak with residents at the Little Dog Coffee Shop on Maine Street.
Sen. Stan Gerzofsky, DBrunswick, and Rep. Charlie Priest will be at the café from 10 a.m. to noon, according to a press release.
Gerzofksy represents Brunswick, Freeport, Harpswell and Pownal. Priest represents part of Brunswick.
