• At Portland Stage, this is the final week of “God of Carnage.” It’s a Tony Award-winning comedy about two sets of parents who are unable to control their own emotions and act out their uncivil tendencies over the course of a very uncomfortable evening. • Good Theater presents its return engagement of “August: Osage County,” a Tony- and Pulitzer Prize-winning play, at the St. Lawrence Arts Center in Portland through Nov. 20, with performances at 2 p.m. today, 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. goodtheater.com

• In Biddeford, City Theater offers up the farce “Don’t Dress for Dinner” with performances at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. citytheater.org
