Gorham is celebrating the 275th anniversary of its founding with a
four-day festival that really got going Saturday morning.

Gorham Founders Festival marks the anniversary of the spring day in
May 1736 when Capt. John Phinney and his 13-year-old son Edmund
paddled up the Presumpscot River into the Little River and began
building.
